SCARY!! VR6 Gearbox Strip down and Quaife Diff Install

I didn't fancy tackling mine for warranty reasons. I stripped the old VR6 syncro box down to get the bell housing and transfer box, but I just didn't dare to tacklet £2500's wort of new bits and risk getting it worng.

 

Good to see you're getting stuck in and doing it properly (pre loading the bearing etc), nice work.

Yeah if mine was a gemini box I might have thought twice, but as I had nothing to lose but a standard VR box, I thought why not.

It is now back together and everything seems to work OK. :)

Not really much to put in the write up, but when I get time I will post a couple of piccies.
