redwoodkp 0 Posted March 15, 2005 No not an 80's moment just wondered cos i my c is nearly totally standard and thought this would top it off. I've seen beta and gamma radio's on ebay but there out of polo's and golf's and are alot newer. Just got me thinking and thought someone might know. dig776 0 Posted March 15, 2005 Hi I think it was the Blaupunkt Montreux RDR 49. Pic below I still have mine but replaced it with a more modern unit. I wish I could have kept it in to stay totally standard but needed CD player. I assume it is the original as the car only had one owner, was totally standard, came with the original first aid kit and had this stereo in. There is also a sticker on the back of the stereo with a 1987 date on so that would be about the right date. Not sure where to get one though other than maybe trying the specialist scrappies in the back of VW Motoring.
