I've lost 12v!!!!

Hi anyone had this before??? I was fitting a new stereo to my '92 2.0 16v , bugger to get in bit tight but with a little pressure she went in!!! However afterwards the car would not start!!! :cry: The engine cranked but no spark!! anyhow tracked it down to the coil it has lost its 12v +'ve when ign is on!!!! so i ran a lead from battery to coil started fine!!!! however pain is gotta keep disconnecting everytime as it drained the battery when i left it connected for 3 days without using the car!!!so way ahead cut into ign line?run feed to coil is that all that i am missing? HELP please!!!!

The accessory wire off the the ignition switch which runs to then radio wiring (brown/red i think) has no fuse so if it earthed during fitting then it can cause problems, :( If it did eart you have to replace the comp switch :x

1st check all fuses,

Then check ign fees from ign switch on column and if no good replace switch. :)

doulbe check the wiring behind the radio, if you can get it out again :lol:
