manual handles - electric windows?

Recommended Posts

Got a new door to get sprayed up, but it has an electric window fitted, and believe it or not, i have manual windows!!

So can i convert the other side to electric with new door cards ect, or can i just cut a hole for the switches?

And most importantly, is all the wiring going to be there, or am i opening up a whole bag o worms here, and should just stick old manual window back in, ihave to change the glass over anyway as mine is tinted, oh and how dou get the glass out!?!?

Cheers

welcome to Wormsville... Population - You... :|

If the car didn't have electric windows, you won't have the control box, wiring or fuses for them... :|

It'd probably be easier to remove the electric window, refit your mechanical one and sell the electric mechanism, or buy a pair of aftermarket electric mechanisms... :|

Good luck... 8)

Ah thought as much!

Is it a fairly straight swap to fit the mechanical ones or loads of rivets ect? And does the Glass just slide out the top?!?

Cheers in advance :)

never done it, but from what I can see, there's a shed load of rivets and the glass will have to come out the top somehow so I'd guess you have to remove the felt lined channel that the glass slides up in to get it out... :|
