coullstar 0 Posted April 13, 2005 I might be getting a set of wheels that were originally on a Renault Clio but I am wondering what size/thread/pitch the renault bolts are? Also what kind of seat they use for the bolts?
Blue_Joe 0 Posted April 13, 2005 The thread would make no difference as it needs to match your hubs. You would need to consider whether the head of the bolt is tapered or rounded. But also the diameter of the hole size would be a major conderation I believe. But most importantly the stud pattern, does the clio have the same stud pattern as a corrado?????? 4x100 or 5x100 depending on your motor??
coullstar 0 Posted April 13, 2005 Yes the PCD and offset are pretty much the same but the centre bore is 60mm as opposed to 57.1mm for VW's.
Henny 0 Posted April 13, 2005 "pretty much the same" ?!? Erm, they're either 4/5 x 100 or they're not.... The center bore size difference can be overcome with some spiggot rings to suit as long as the hole is bigger than standard... 8) No idea on the bolt seat shape though... :|
coullstar 0 Posted April 13, 2005 Sorry i meant they are the same. Think the bolts are straight taper instead of VW radius. Seems everybody uses straight taper instead of radius.
