Boost Return Kit

Recommended Posts

Been looking at G-Wreks boost return kit, just wanted to ask you guys here first a few q's

1. does it make a difference?

2. how loud os the pressure dump?

just want to hear it before i go buying! any perhaps got a recording of it? and would i need a catchtank too?

I've tried trawling through the search results but there's so many they started to become a blur.

cheers guys.

*edit*

forgot to ask something else! when removing the rubbing strips, is there anything i should watch out for?

moulding marks? what they attached with? will they damage the paintwork when i remove them etc?

1. Apparently it reduces inlet temperatures as you don't have hot used boost being taken in...

2. Check on G60Dan's gallery thread, and G60Jet's as I believe they both recorded the sound of theirs.

Also the side rub strips are held on with some kind of adhesive, but there's no moulding marks etc. Just use a hairdryer on them, and slide them off... then spend the next 5 hours trying to get the remaining glue off the door

i think it did make a bit of difference the charger is now cool enough to touch after a long run and the power levels dont seem to drop when the engine heats up a bit, i also noticed a bit of an increase in mpg but nothing major

if the boost dump is too loud you can just run a length of air duct hose to the underneath of the car like i did
