G60 0 Posted July 7, 2003 well my driver's side seatbelt is jammed... it rolled up but now won't unroll, as if i were trying to pull out more slack while on the brakes. i've pulled the mechanism out of the car and with a little fiddling i still can't get it to let out the belt. anyone have this problem before? is there a way to fix it? i'm guessing i don't want to bugger around with this since it is probably the most important safety feature on the car... so i should just find one at the wreckers and replace it. what cars have compatible driver's side belt systems? i'm thinking any mk2 golf/jetta/passat but i'm just guessing. any help is much appreciated, took the day off work today to sort some nagging problems and i'd like to get this fixed today so i don't get all flustered when i drive past a cop (i get pulled over like crazy around here). thanks a lot.
