G60 alternator belt change - advice needed

Just found you. Any advice/hints would be welcome for this proceedure on my '91 Corrado

Remove the air filter assy. In the absence of any special tools, I use a flat screwdriver to lever the tensioner arm upwards sufficiently to enable me to remove the belt from the alternator (top) pulley.

That worked a treat. A 15 minute job! Lightcliffe Motors (VW dealer nr.Halifax) wanted £130+ to do that. I know their mechanics need paying - but ......!

They were the original supplying dealer for my Scirocco 1.8i Scala :shock:
