randal 0 Posted June 14, 2005 I had me front bumper off at the weekend to replace the wing, and as part of the process I unplugged the temp sensor on the offside brake duct. I thought I'd plugged it back in AOK, but the MFA is reading -40 deg C so I'm guessing not. Is it possible to plug it in the wrong way round, or is it a knackered sensor? thanks in advance
NickRStorm 0 Posted June 14, 2005 I'd guess it's the wrong way round. If it's knackered, you get 3 dashes ---
randal 0 Posted June 14, 2005 neat, cool one less to replace. fingers crossed i can get my arm in there without having to take the bumper off again.... thanks for the response. :D
randal 0 Posted June 14, 2005 Nope, just wasn't plugged in at all. I guess I didn't push it all the way in when I put the duct back into the bumper. Ah well, sorted now. Cheers
2cc 0 Posted June 15, 2005 IIRC open circuit on the plug gives reading -40 Short circuit on the plug gives reading +50 The sensors are also different depending on the model (but I don't have the numbers) Must replace the one on my VR one of these days......
