Critical_Mass, the squeek you hear that sounds like a rusty gate is your ISV computer controlled blow off valve. when you hear the squeek its time for a replacement however they are expensive, people correct me if I am wrong please.

 

You guys have some interesting names for cities, here's some of california for you.
