Shark Fin Mod

OK,

 

Thanks to all for informing be that I cannot do the Xenon Headlamp Mod (easily), so how about this one....

 

Its the "shark Fin" you see on the new BMW's that's the radio ariel, I think it looks pretty cool, and I reckon it should be straightforward, however as proved in my other subject about the Xenon's it might not be.

Do bear in mind that the Corrado aerial is amplified! Not sure if this will make a big difference

Dunno about the technicalities of installing one, but I do know i've never really liked the look of them (even on the BM's)

Mate did this on a Polo, the new ones from VW sit in a square hole and the corrado aerial hole is round IIRC...

I thought that the shark fin aerials were GPS aerials for satnav..?

No. I have a Sharkfin on my Saab 9-3 and it is a Radio and Car Phone Aerial in one. Not sure if it has a GPS reciever as well though. Might have

the aerial for new bmw's is hidden in the rear windscreen, and the sharkfin is for satnav. as told to by the BMW technician who fixes them...

however! some are aerials too!

The aerial hole on the corrado's roof is square,i thought about doing this but decided that IMO,it would look odd...
