Furkz 0 Posted July 21, 2003 hi i have unfortunately kerbed my new alloys, well it was either that or hit oncoming traffic anyways i have filled the dents and scrapes but cant get matching colour from my rims as they are a slight black alloys finish and standard alloy touch up paint just doesnt match. Even been to a few bodyshops and cant get the exact or very similiar match can any of u guys HELP
Henny 0 Posted July 21, 2003 May sound a silly idea, but try contacting Wolfrace (they are wolf alloys aren't they?) I bet that they do a touch up pen, or can give you a paint code for them as you aren't the only person in the world who's kerb'd their alloys and needs to touch 'em up (oo-err! ) Hope you can get 'em sorted... they're nice looking wheels... 8)

Only other thing I can think of is going to a paint mixing place (place wot supplies garages with paint) with your wheel and seeing if they can paintmatch the colour... We used to do stuff like that to some of the custom beetles that I used to work on when they'd come in with a dent or scratch in their one-off colours that no-one's got the mix formula for... Good luck... Henny 0 Posted July 21, 2003 See? I do have some good ideas at times!  8) Hope you find some paint... Be sure to make a note of the formula if you do so that you can let other people know (or even colour code other bits of the car to match! 8) )
stevemac 0 Posted July 21, 2003 Up here in Leeds there's a guy who works for a "Chipsaway" franchise. As well as repairing chipped/dented bodywork he also carries out superficial repairs to alloy wheels. Maybe, if you check the yellow pages, there may be someone operating the same type of franchise in your area.
