Ad2408 0 Posted August 7, 2005 Hi Went out in my 16v (1.8 H Plate) this morning and it was faultless. But I've just been outside and started it up again and the engine started fine but the revs started to drop staright away and was making a knocking noise from the engine (quite loud, but only two or three knocks like it was trying to stall) I gave it a bit of gas and it stopped the knocking and the idle sat a 900 and the engine now ticked over great. Any ideas whats caused it? I'm going to change the blue temperature sensor this afternoon but is there anything else I should be looking at? Thanks (and sorry for the long post!)
