MNuTz 0 Posted September 9, 2005 i never have mate, just a socket set should do the trick! oh, and making sure your wheels are straight when you put the steering back help too :D
RW1 0 Posted September 9, 2005 The torque setting is 40Nm (30ft lb). So not too tight., just nip up and 1 hour on the 12 hour clock face forced. 24mm socket with short extension. .
Chris VR6nos 0 Posted September 10, 2005 Well RW1 is quite correct and it's a sensible question but come on, just change it and nip the nylock nut up using a little sense, i was surprised that anyone needed to ask this question but i suppose i shouldn't think like this if you have no mechanical reference at all. PoorMansPorsche 0 Posted September 10, 2005 cheers, yep i dont have the slightest clue about mechanics !! the rado is the first car that ive ever tinkered with - all my other cars have been late - ish models that are better just sent down the garage. Supercharged 2 Posted September 10, 2005 Like RW1 says there is a torque setting but it's no problem if you don't have a wrench, torque is not crucial as the wheel sits on a spline, just to it up as tight as you can by hand with a normal size ratchet (like you do with the wheel nuts and factory brace), 24mm as Mr One states. Chris VR6nos, the nut isn't Nylock btw...
