Errr..... NUTS!!!!

Recommended Posts

OK, I was trying to change my front brake hoses... BUT one of the nuts that connects the copper pipe to the rubber brake hose (top of the inside front wheel arch) has burred and its now getting to the point of drilling the bolt off and trying to replace it.

Can someone else with ETKA check that N014 340 1 is the right bolt to replace it??

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated as the drivers side is done, and after I have got this bolt sorted (and I have bled the brakes) I have 312s :)

Unless you're talking about a different part that i think your are, its not a nut, its a union on the copper brake hose. You will have to replace the complete hard line back to the ABS unit or master cylinder. Most motor factors will be able to make you one up.

Bolt now horrendously rounded... and vice grips worked like a charm :(

mk2_20vt - yup I'm talking about the part your thinking about.

does anyone with a VR know from the ABS unit which goes to the passengers front??

Unfortunately it looks like it's a replacing the pipe job.
