Argh help!! Head unit wont go in

Recommended Posts

Ok, as above, just bought me a dva-9860r :) and I cant push it in far enough to click in, well I did first time pushing really hard, which turned out a bad idea as the amp remote wire got nipped up and shorted out (luckily it didnt blow the headunit up ) now I dunno what to do, the only wires behind the unit are the ones coming out of it, I've tucked all the car loom and connectors behind the instrument panel, but it still wont go in :( Any ideas anyone?

Cheers

Ryan

You might need a second person, though I've managed it myself...

Get your left arm up the passenger footwell, and up the back of the dash (might need to remove a panel or two) until you can feel the wires of the stereo.

Then feed it back out the hole at the back-left as you push in the stereo.

There's just too many wires bunching up at the back...

yup. take the passenger side parcel shelf out and guide the wires back from behind (don't pul lthe unit in with the wires though).
