Wheel size maths!

Recommended Posts

I know theres loads of posts similar to this... sorry!

The standard vr6 speedlines are 15" ET43 and 6.5" wide (165mm). right.

the wheels im looking at are 17" ET35 and 7.5" or 8" wide (190 or 205mm), but require a PCD adapter that is 20mm, so the new ET is 55, right??

Am i right in thinking that when theyre on the wheels will only stick out a further 12mm than the speedlines??

Also, are 20mm adapters safe? doesnt seem like a lot to hold the wheels on!

IT is, from the centre line of the wheel to the mating face, there for is you plus materail on that face with a spacer the distance gets less.

i think i get it.... so if a wheel had an ET of 0 then the mating face of the hub would be exactly in line with the centre of the wheel??
