What's the width of the outter rim on standard BBS RS301's ?

Recommended Posts

It's a funny one, as it actually comes back on itself to make it look wider.

when you measure it fromt he mounting face to the rim it's only about 1" I think, maybe even less!

OSV is your man, he's got a few spare rims knocking about and has just fitted wider ones to his.

Its a half inch rim, but as Paul says it looks deeper because it dishes back in on itself first, aftermarket rims come staight out, therefore like for like the OE rims look wider.

Thanks for the replies guys - i'm looking to increase either just the rear or both front & rear wheels equally - not sure yet but i think i'm gonna go for stainless steel over alluminium because the rim's that where fitted when i bought them are way to soft for the roads round here !

do you know where i can get hold of some quality stainless steel rims in the UK ?

Cheers man - so if my maths is right a 1.25" rim would make the total wheel width 8.25"..1.5" would be 8.5" & 2" dish makes 9" total width.

whatcha reckon the rear dish size is on this -
