JayPSC 0 Posted November 25, 2005 Accidently nicked a hose with my grinder when grinding a stud down, just wondering if it's anything vitally important before I drive the car again. This is the beauty, goes into the wing, quite chunky hose which leads me to believe it's something important. Thanks Jay
g60griff 0 Posted November 25, 2005 it goes to the cc canister. do a search and remove it. i think its just for fuel vapour or something.

g60griff 0 Posted November 25, 2005 id do the search and do the mod sooner rather than later, if i remember rightly you dont actually block that pipe off, its a breather. what i did i think was to drill a hole in the airbox and feed it into there. i think if ya dont do this there will be a smell of petrol fumes in the car. stevemac 0 Posted November 25, 2005 Looks like your pipework for the carbon can & the valve for it have already been removed. As has been said, that pipe is the fuel tank breather. Most people who remove the carbon can pipework just tuck this pipe into the hole in the inner wing - just behind the air filter. Under no circumstances block this pipe - the fuel tank must be able to breathe.
JayPSC 0 Posted November 25, 2005 That's cool, I'll just leave it as it is if it's under no pressure, didn't chop through the pipe, just slightly hacked into the pipe wall. Jay
