NickC 0 Posted December 9, 2005 Just a quicky.....prior to commiting to the valver I now have I contacted TSR - Tim Styles Racing in somerset. I have had previous experience with them and for anyone who has a knowledge of the GTI world, then you'll know that Tim is GOD. I was all set to go out an purchase a VR6, happily hunting away to find the right on when I asked TSR for technical advice. Their view shocked me out of my seat. They specify that the 15 degree V in the VR6 lump isnt as bomb proof as people believe and is prone to numerous expensive problems, and told me that the Valver was a better (all be it less powerful of course) and stronger. Shocked by this I contacted a local VW indepandant and asked the same Q's, VR6 or 16V to which they said the same 16V everyday. Before you all cast an opinion neither had cars to sell ( I am always sceptical ). I'm sure that this wont change anyones view in the great debate which leaves the valver wallowing in the wake of the mighty VR6, but certainly food for thought, ( which was enough to get me to plump for the valver over the VR6 ). Happy days

NickC 0 Posted December 9, 2005 cheers fella, having had numerous "fast cars" 300 plus bhp etc, I have to say that the Corrado puts far more "smiles per miles".
