jenks 0 Posted January 21, 2006 right this is FAO who ever has had the exhaust lip and tow eye removed and smoothed over from there rear bumper?(Jay?) How much does this rougly cost? i know wherever i go prices can totally fluctuate! And the rear exhaust i take it just gets custom made to face down towards towards the road? 24V Renshaw 0 Posted January 21, 2006 I did mine myself using a suitable section from another bumper and a soldering iron to plastic weld it in place properly, so it becomes part of the bumper again. Then I used bits of the bumper plastic and the soldering iron to "filler" it. Then a tiny skim of filler to fill any pin holes. Once thats done its just the cost of a normal respray. You cut the towing eye off with a hacksaw/angle grinder and the exhaust can be made just by getting a 16v back box (G60 one is a complex folded bit of metal which is a pain) and cutting off the main tailpipe and welding on a downpointing bit, easy peasy.
