VWci 0 Posted January 30, 2006 there must be tyre size problem.... tyres look big... apart from that....your rado looks good...;)
Lanceevox 0 Posted January 30, 2006 Yeah my tyres do rub against the wells a bit, when I go into full lock it is pretty bad. What are my options for tyre hieght? If I get thoses little rubber band ones do you think it will look good?
VWci 0 Posted January 30, 2006 european corrado vr6s use 205/50/15 so does USA version so you can use 215/40/16 . i think that is right tyre size..and you can use below site to calculate different tyre sizes...;) http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalcold.html
Nick 0 Posted January 30, 2006 I say: Slam it, remove the BBS sticker from the side, get either all red or red/clear or red/clear smoked rear lights, remove black side strip or colour code, colour code front grill, or remove completely, bigger wheels...? Just a few ideas, but it looks mint mate. Super tidy interior, and loverly looking conditioned leather.
Krazee 0 Posted January 30, 2006 looks like your running 205/50/16 tires...or maybe you took em as they come off a mk4 Wolfsburg? Most people here (USA) tend to go with 205/45/16 that the aforementioned 215/40/16.....i plan on running 215/45/16 this summer.
Lanceevox 0 Posted January 31, 2006 What do I need to lower my car? Just some koni springs? I don't know the legistics of it.. Also what is the biggest rims you can fit without making body mods on a corrado, and without rubbing.. I really like the look of those rims that have deep lips and stick out of the wheel wells a bit. Also, where can I get a 90mm front lower black lip?
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Lookin smart mate :thumb right: Wish I could have a red Vr at my age!
Lanceevox 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Is yours a G60? Mine eats up the gas.. I averaged 15mpg today.. but I do alot of commute, stop and go traffic..
veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted January 31, 2006 I got the 1.8 18v, but a g60 is next on my list :) 15mpg?!?!?! That's mad, and I thought my 26mpg was bad
Lanceevox 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Yeah, its terrible when I am in the city, and not that much better on open road about 23 mpg. I am not sure what the issue is but it hurts my wallet, gas went up to $2.50 a gallon.. I guess you europeans have to pay like 9 buckaroo's a gallon though. veeDuB_Rado 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Yea petrol really sucks here at the mo... But that's not the main problem, when you're driving a Corrado, you're right foot sems to get heavy :D
Lanceevox 0 Posted January 31, 2006 I know what you mean. When I first got my rado all I would do is jump starts from stop signs and fly down the freeways at 120. Now I learned to restrain my self but my gas is still hurting me for some reason. -Where can I get a short shifter for my rado? How much are they and how hard is it to put in? VWci 0 Posted January 31, 2006 Lanceevox i pay $ 2.3 for 1 litre gas...:D ( 1 Gallon = 3.78 litre ) You are lucky... When i was in States the price was $ 1.79 (95 ron) for a gallon (New York - 2004) :D :D :D Turkey and Norway have the most expensive petrol price in World.... We are the first norway is the second.......but the norway is six times richer than us ...... :D :D
Lanceevox 0 Posted January 31, 2006 My bad, gas is actually about $2.50 a gallon. Down the street it is $2.39 :-P
Nick 0 Posted January 31, 2006 What do I need to lower my car? Just some koni springs? I don't know the legistics of it.. Cheapest way would be to just replace your springs. But that is most certainly not the best way to go about it. If you do a search im sure youll find plenty of opinions and explanations on whats best. Also what is the biggest rims you can fit without making body mods on a corrado, and without rubbing.. I really like the look of those rims that have deep lips and stick out of the wheel wells a bit. I dont know. At a guess 17's. But it depends how much you lower it obviously. Also, where can I get a 90mm front lower black lip? http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/ - but the price with the 60 and 90mm spoiler are wrong. You need to swap them round. Cant help with a US supplier im afraid.
