annoying sound from rear axle / right rear wheel

Very often when I use the brakes while in reverse, or in parking lot speeds really, there is this pretty loud "screeching" sound coming from the rear, it sounds from the off side (mine's a lhd remember). Any ideas what it could be?

Wouldn't describe it as screeching quite but yes, it's a build up of (wet) brake dust on the edges of the pads. Clean it it will be fine for a few days, then it'll start again.
