owen01 0 Posted March 2, 2006 sorry boys it aint a corrado,but ive tried all the audi forums.ive got an a3t quattro i recently fitted an alpine head unit,now the alarm goes off when it likes,usually late at nite or early sunday mornings,took it to an auto spark who fitted a switch live to it .ive cut no wires i bought the right adaptor the alarm still goes off :cry: .i spoke to audi dealer and they said audi fitted a system on some cars were the stereo is removed the computer senses its gone and the alarm goes off :!: is this true :?: if so can anyone please tell me how to get round it :?: if not does anyone want to buy an alpine head dvd 6 disc changer with pop out screen... gaz the geezer 0 Posted March 3, 2006 i spoke to audi dealer and they said audi fitted a system on some cars were the stereo is removed the computer senses its gone and the alarm goes off is this true hello fella, if audi said what you are saying then i would have thought there would be a grain of truth in it, i cant see why they would mis inform you deliberately, i`d really try another audi dealer / specialist to find a way around the problem you are having - there is probaly a fix somewhere so you can use the head unit of your choice, sorry i havent been much help but i think you already knew the answers and just needed someone to confirm them for you Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
