TT Dash advice please

Recommended Posts

I really like the look of the TT dash in the Corrado and Ive found this that very local to me.

TT dash complete with the clocks & the wiring loom to all the the swithes, long with the fuse box. Steering column & stalks.

Heater box & the dutcs too.

Comes with all nuts & bolts.

Thing is that Ive never taken anything like this on before and just wanted to know how hard it would really be

Any advice 8)

I'm here :)

Two words. Big job.

As always with something like this its down to how well you want to do it and how much you want working. To be honest there ia almost an endless list of things that need doing. A few examples of which are.

Moving the handbrake 1" to the left

Modifying and rebuilding the entire underside of the dash and ducting.

Wiring (ha ha ha)

reconstructing and retrimming the door cards

constructing the brackets for all the dash and centre tunnel

fitting the entire TT climate control heater matrix (no manual controls)

There is plenty more which I can't even begin to remember. Like everything its obviously do-able, but there were a couple of occasions where I thought it would not even work.

Cheers Jay

Well the dash is £350 8) and that does sound like a hell of a lot of work

Ive never done anything like this before and TBH the money id spend buying it and doing it was put aside to sort other (easy lol) bits that I was going to do.

Im not sure about it now............I really want the TT dash but I dont think ive got the experience or the money to get someone to guide me through it
