Rob_B 0 Posted March 10, 2006 bit of an intermittant one really, sometimes the car will start sweet as, but sometimes, like this morning, it would fire once then die. after this it wont even try to fire, will just turn over with a flat sound. in ignition, the isv makes a very loud buzzing and this dissappears when you disconnect the blue temp sensor. ive tried changing the blue temp sensor and swapping the plug over to the black one, but no joy. what voltage should there be at the plug for the blue temp sensor? what is the resistance across the ISV when its disconnected? this is a stupid little problem, especially after my rebuild, but it means the car wont start all the time which is just as bad!! when it get going its good as gold!! cheers Rob Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Tempest 0 Posted March 10, 2006 what voltage should there be at the plug for the blue temp sensor? 20°C: 2500 Ohm 30°C: 1500 Ohm 40°C: 1000 Ohm 50 °C: 800 Ohm 60°C: 600 Ohm 70°C: 400 Ohm 80°C: 300 Ohm 90°C: 250 Ohm 100°C: 200 Ohm what is the resistance across the ISV when its disconnected? Between 2 and 10 Ohms If you suspect the ISV doesn't let in enough air during start-up, you could try and wedge open the throttle such that the idle switch is still closed, and see whether that makes any difference. Rob_B 0 Posted March 11, 2006 ok, changed the ISV, blue temp sensor and starter motor today and still no result! when i turn the engine over it just makes a flat tone with no attempt to fire. i know i have spark and fuel. i need to know what voltage is sent to the blue temp sensor, i get 5V to ground on the feed and 5V across the 2 pins when the ignition is on. im really miffed now and if i had any hair i would be pulling out!! someone please help me!!
