Recommended Posts

Hi,

I know im gonna get told to do a search but i have and cant find anything.

Ive got my hands on a set of Wiper/Indicator stalks from a mk3 GTI.

Just wanted to know if theyl fit ok on my 1989 16v or what modifications will be needed?

Cheers!

i think they do, the only difference i know is that the wire is longer on the corrado version, so you may need to extend the wiring. someone may correct me on that

i never had to extend the wiring on mine.

You will need to either trim the top part of shroud or buy a late vr6 1

i did this as well ,used the one with the hazards from a seat something, which are the same but use the square hazard switch so no need to change the cowling ,hope this helps some one

I did this a while ago, Mine were from a golf which has shorter lead, All I did was chopped off the connector and stripped back (4 x colour coded wires) Than cut the corrado cable so that the connection would be hidden under the dash and then just mated up the wires. Then got the VAG late surrounds and hey presto, I even managed to see the old corrado stalks on ebay with the cable chopped.

Cheers

Woody

with a bit of fiddling i had managed to have mk3 golf mfa stalks with the early square hazard switch, i made one set from the early corrado and mk3 golf ones.
