New VR owner!!!

Recommended Posts

Panel filter will make it slightly noiser, but not enough to notice any difference really. Get a BMC CDA induction kit, I found the K&N way too noisy! The cabin seriously virbated at high revs, I don't know how people can stand it.

Off topic a bit - did VR's ever come with them alloys (the same on a mk3 16v)

Mine had them when I got it but i've switched to speedlines thinking they all came with them.

I have an early VR with the old style dash

NottsCounty I asked the same question here

I was also looking to swap for the standard speedlines but I'm starting to prefer them as they are a bit more chunky.

I think I'll try a K&N panel filter for a while and see how I get on with it, cheers for the help everyone! Looking forward to going to some shows or meets when they start up.

will a panel filter do it or does it have to be a full cone type induction kit?

I noticed a slightly better throttle response with the k&n panel filter, the engine felt more eager. No difference in noise tbh though

Nice looking motor mate - with a rare set of wheels on it too!

I'm sure they were an option on VR6s - there was a lovely looking silver VR a while back that had all the knobs on and included these wheels.
