Passenger door jammed shut

Went out last night and when I returned to the car the passenger door wouldn't open. Tried it again this morning and still the same.

 

I was to replace the door handle today, but now I can't as I can't get the door open at all!!

 

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can get the door open? Any help would be gratefully received.

I will be suggesting the search (as I'm fairly sure this has been covered :)) but first of all, what is the specific problem?

 

Will it open from the inside?

Does the door-pin still raise and lower at the same time as the drivers side?

The external door handle has not worked for a few weeks but the door has been able to be opened from the inside with no problems.

 

Last night however the door refused to open at all either from the inside or the outside.

 

As far as I can tell the door pin is rising as I would expect it too.

 

I have tried the search, but either I couldn't see it, nothing new there, or I am missing the topics in which it has been covered.
