jonny-5 0 Posted April 5, 2006 I have a 1991 16v and my question is......does the big bolt on the top of the gearbox/engine mount (bulkhead side of the engine bay, passenger side) screw in? I can't get it to go in fully, it's threaded which suggests it does indeed screw in but i can seem to manage it. any tips/ideas? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mk2_20vt 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Are you certain you have the right bolt?, its a fairly short one. Also check the mount isnt spinning while trying to tighten it, there is a locating pin on the bottom of it which should sit in a hole to prevent the mount spinning while tightening.
