Sigma alarm

Recommended Posts

I've just bought my corrado which is fitted with a sigma alarm and immobiliser, the problem is when I stop after a run and alarm the car the radiator fan sometimes comes on triggering the alarm, as I don't have any instructions how do I get around this problem. Dave

Dave, is your battery in good condition? None of the cat1s I have fitted have had this problem. All I can guess is the sudden load when the fan starts is enough to make the alarm think it's been disconnected.

Modern alarms don't monitor things like the olde worlde Moss alarms of yore. They look for solid earths for trggering.

My suggestion would be to make sure that both battery connections are clean and bright. Try cleaning up the earth points too.

Which Corrado do you have?

Gavin
