johnxl1s 0 Posted September 12, 2003 as some on the forum might know i got a new head gasket fitted+head skim,anyway the car is going great now except for one thing, before i got the new gasket i was getting roughly 400-425 on a full tank of petrol,everytime i filled up from empty i zeroed the mileage that is how i know, now the needle is just below the halfway mark and is reading just 165 miles done so when the needle gets down near the bottom i presume i will only be getting around 280 miles on a full tank or their abouts ,any one any thoughts or could this be that something is not right. advice appreciated john Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Joe M 0 Posted September 12, 2003 Wait till its reading near empty, ive found with a lot of cars that for some strange reason the needle drops to half a tank pretty quick then starts dropping slower so even if its reading half there is probably a good bit more petrol in it than that.
