CazzaVR 0 Posted June 29, 2009 Very nice car. Definetly going to try the all red rears on my black C. I've got a couple set of originals to practice on. Cheers mate :) It's pretty easy- just take your time ;)
scarlet_vr6 0 Posted July 28, 2009 really like your car Andy and think the all red rears are spot on! And now has a clean filler neck too, good stuff! 8)
CazzaVR 0 Posted July 29, 2009 Cheers, Fay :) I'm steadily working through a list of things to do, I'm about half way through but I suspect I will never reach the end  Amazing what a difference the lights make- the big slabs of orange look so dated in comparison to the rest of the car imho. Next up: change gearbox oil for MT90 laquer tail lights clay, machine polish, seal, wax, arches, underseal I won't bore you all with the rest of the list!

CrazyDave 0 Posted July 29, 2009 Just Charlie really Andy, I know the VRT is quick but I'd struggle to pull off the track, get out, walk to quarry and take pictures all in the same session  Nice pics though! And a fantastic example of an early valver 8)
Jim 2 Posted July 29, 2009 Looks excellent mate :) Have any more of Charlies pictures been uploaded anywhere..?

CazzaVR 0 Posted September 27, 2009 A little update... Have added a debadged grille (FK), chrome 16v badges (front & rear) and chrome Corrado script badge. Just updates the car a little :) Changed the alternator & PAS belts today cos the alt belt was a little slack and was noisy. All seems OK now :) One unwanted mod- left the ratchet on one of the alternator pivot bolts... and shut the bonnet  The bonnet now has a small crease- I'm sure it can be fixed, but will have to wait a while :( Coupla pics 8)

CazzaVR 0 Posted September 29, 2009 Looking tidy Andy, gutted about the ratchet dent though :( Thanks Louis ;) Yep, sooooo annoying. The car is so much better with the new belts- the alternator was really loud and whiny before and had started to make a horrid grinding sound- totally gone now 8) Now need to sort the gearchange (adjustment + new cables), laquer the lights, new rear engine mount, touch up underseal, new petrol tank straps + numerous other minor jobs. CazzaVR 0 Posted September 29, 2009 Minty minty. Lovely motor you've got yourself there. 8) Thanks matey! I'm loving it. It's not very quick, but I love driving it. Someone earlier said 'Your car has made my day' He went on to say how amazing it was for a 20 year old car 8)

GlosterOx 0 Posted September 29, 2009 Hi Ian, Yeh, MOT time next week :pale: Fingers crossed! What were you in for? Nothing serious I hope! Unfortunately yes - Advisory on it's MOT of quite a bad oil leak, so Richard spent about 6 hours Saturday working on it. List comprises of: New Oil Cooler Main Crankshaft Oil Seal (£80+) All G/Box Oil Seals Diff Oil Seals Sump Gasket Oil Pressure Switch Complete Clutch Kit plus other things that I can't recall!! Clutch now is feather light and so far no more leaks - Cost just over £500!! :( Hope yours is cheaper, which I'm sure it will be!! Ian.
Swompy 0 Posted September 29, 2009 Ya I think its over fueling and running rather rich, Black exhuast tip, over run when i lift off the throttel and depress the clutch and my mpg is in the region of a VR after a heavey drive  Got 28 mpg out of it on the motorway the other day only doing 70 :(
