Joe M 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Both the power wires from the stereo were connected to the switched live, I simply connected them up the right way.
Danger Mouse 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Don't know why it didnt work when I tried it. Think it may be something to do with the ignition barrel, think its on its way out. DM
Joe M 0 Posted September 30, 2003 I think its a definate on the ignition switch, did it cut off any more after you left? The ignition switch wouldnt cause it to loose its memory though, just switch off and not come back on.
Danger Mouse 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Didn't really switch off, just flickered slightly then it was fine. Think a starter button may be on the cards. Was talking to Graeme and i'm not gonna get the charger done at Jabba DM
Joe M 0 Posted September 30, 2003 TBH, if ure ignition switch is on the way out you would be as well just getting that sorted, a button would make the car easier to start but if the stereo is not coming on properly it wont help with that. Besides, a Richbrook push start kit is about £35 and the switch can be done for under £50.
Danger Mouse 0 Posted September 30, 2003 true, suppose it would be just as well to get it fixed properly
