MORNING - IS IT - WHAT AMP's

Morning all, came to the conclusion that my alternator is screwed, so looked on the GSF site to find thiers loads of different type 60/70/90AMP's which is best ? which one is for my G60 ? could i put the best/biggest {90Amp} one on and get better preformance from my new silver top BOSCH battery? cheers for the help peeps 8)

should only be a 65 or a 90a for a g60.....should be a sticker to say what yours is

 

if yours has the 65, you can upgrade to 90 for better charging

YEAH, Just had a quick look {90} spoke to ANDY {Bristol branch GSF} he's gunna get me one in for monday for £115 + VAT, anyone know any better one's or any cheaper? :help:

The GSF ones are at a VERY good price. They've only started doing them recently. I bought mine before they did and it cost me £250!!!! However do you really need a 90A one?? I put one on mine because I have a Optima Red Top Battery and a power hungry stereo system that mean't I cooked my old standard size battery, therefore needed a BIG battery and a BIG alternator to charge it. I can't see you getting any gains on a standard type battery other than charging will be better. But do you need it???

 

Unless you have a hungry stereo setup I would say the 65Amp is more than sufficient
