MNuTz 0 Posted May 26, 2006 Lo all, Chatting on another forum as a lad wants to buy a 1.8 16v C that is pushing 170BHP. I thought it was 1.8 16v = 133BHP 2.0 16v = 136BHP G60 = 158BHP VR6 = 178BHP But some of the lads are saying that the VR6 is 190BHP as standard, now ive googled it but can only find 178BHP. VR6 0 Posted May 26, 2006 Golf VR will be nearer the 178 figure. 2.8 as opposed to 2.9. Although the later Highline model came with OBDII and usually pushes close to 190. A 1.8 valver with 170 will have had quite a few mods to get it that quick.
