Blower Only Working On 4

Ok blower only working on 4. Does this mean that thermal resistor has blown time to ring Maplins. Also do any other VW use the same kind of resistor / blower setup Golf! (3 speed only) Passat?????

mines fooked too, only works on 4.

 

whats the value of the resistor, if that is the problem?

hmmmz, after reading the bit at the bottom (as amit said), I have fixed it, The small contact that turns with the knob needed to be adjusted (bent), it wasn't making full contact with the other two contacts so I just bent it so it made a proper contact with the two plates, and now it works fine :D \o/

Fixed the blower with the help of RA16C 184 oC resistor from maplins in bournemouth. Cheers all for advice.
