A recent one... even this one is out of date by along way now need to take some more lol

The idea is to turn the MK2 into a drag racing car using the VR6 in its pure form and eventually adding a super chrager and LSD.

At the moment the MK2 is a shell, have patched up a few rusty bits on the golf and hammerited the underside and other vunrable parts to keep the rust monster at bay.... my next task is to start to strip the corrado a bit more carfully then i did the golf though lol

What are you doing to the corrado...?!

Ive never seen anybody lift the car from the engine like that, i thought it would have been easier to reomve the front, or lift the engine!

Good work tho.

thats gonna surprise some peeps when you get it on the road ;)

you should leave the paint work as it is, and get some 1.3L decals for it :D

Only time it will see the road is behind my car as its towed to the track..it is staying totally rat like.... a proper sleeper...non road legal...

We had good reasons for lifting the car off the engine and not the engine out the car for a start we couldnt not get the drive shafts off ... and second its was like 2 nuts and 6 bolts and lift the car hey presto... it was going to be a lot more buggering about to get the engine and everything out seperatly... and we didnt want anything we were taking off ....theres logic there somewhere... lol

Corrado shell once the engine is out will be either sold or scraped or left as a sacrifice to the rust monster..

P slots have already been sold... makeing way for 5 stud hubs and the speedlines can get a better selection of slicks for the speed line size then i coudl for the small P slots

Spent at the moment already to much but as of yet not enough! lol

that is THE most bizzare way to take an engine out of a mk2. just unbolt the front! it's only held on with about 10 bolts.

and why use a manky old B reg shell??

and why use a manky old B reg shell??

My mate also used a B reg so he could get rid of the side repeaters, he was also told by some muppet that the shell was old enough that it could be re-registered as a new car - this sadly wasn't the case...
