nickeboy 0 Posted July 8, 2006 there is a fuse above the relays on mine, it is a pain to get to but it is there, there is suppose to be anouther fuse for the abs but i will be damned if i can find it,, of you find it then post it up here because it seem to cause alot of people problems finding it, if that does not work then vagcom is the way forward, 40 quid from any vdub specialist! nick

Supercharged 2 Posted July 11, 2006 Guy's, I'm fairly sure it's the female readings you need to look at and once you've conformed the physical connection is ok, change the sensors... The other readings are bassically looking at the ABS ecu - no idea on the relevence of these and may just be different because of cable length... I wouldn't worry for now as both of you have dead sensors...

NottsCounty 0 Posted July 14, 2006 Hi guys, just thought i'd add my two penneth worth in here to try and really throw you off the scent. When I got my 92 VR the ABS light was doing some funny things staying on, flashing, on and off intermittently. Took it to the garage and VAGCOM threw up a dead sensor so thinking all was fine I drove off........ Only for the ABS light to come on and STAY ON for the whole drive home!! This carried on for some weeks so I decided to have a look myself and in the end I took the ABS rings off from inside of the rear discs (bit of a bitch to do!!) gave them a good clean up and re-fitted them. ABS light now comes on at startup and then goes off and stays off!! WooooHooooo, but.........just my thoughts and personal experiences. Your's may well be different. Give it a go and good luck boys
