Adam Darby 0 Posted July 14, 2006 hi all I bought a mk2 golf gti just t take to the nurburgring this year, I also have a merc 609d box van wihc I need to get the car in. so the thing is i need a set of ramps, they will have to go roughly 1m hight so need to be at least 3.5m long to stop the car from bottoming out. The car weighs 900kg (roughly) I dont want to buy a set of ramps because I will be selling the car when i get back, so if any body knows someone who has a set that they will hire out for 1 week or knows a company that does it please let me know cheers all Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Toad 0 Posted July 14, 2006 Do you know anyone taking a car trailer with ramps to the ring? the reason I ask is because in the past I've had to load a land rover into a curtain sider we were picking up, we drove the landrover onto a low loader trailer, and raised the ramps into the back of the curtain side body, then drove the land rover in, when we got back, we used an Ifor williams car trailer to reverse the operation, landy down ramps onto trailer, then off trailer. just make sure the back of the trailer is blocked up.
