Smoke from back of engine :shock:

Hi guys, got a little problem.

 

Was taking my G60 out for a bit of a thrashing and when i parked up i could see some smoke.

 

Had a look under the car and it looked like it was coming from the front of the cat (engine side) Its hard to describe. I don;t think it was a hold in the exhaust because it was a lingering smoke, like when you have blown a candle out.

 

It was kind of grey, not really white or blue.

 

It was like somthing was burning, or smouldering getting worried incase sets alight while i'm shopping.

 

Any idea's

More than likely some mud or oil on the downpipe/cat that is burning off. Just keep an eye on it and check there is nothing like a plastic bag stuck to your exhaust.
