Nick 0 Posted July 22, 2006 Trying to remove the m8 driveshaft bolts, and have managed to round off one on each side of the gearbox. So 10 out of the 12 are done. I cannot for the life of me get the two bolts undone, and think ive tried almost everything, but im appealing to you, the masses, to suggest any tricks of the trade you may have learnt, or know. Cheers, Nick

mtc R32 0 Posted July 22, 2006 Try forcing a larger Hexaginal bit into it.. Keeping the bar on the socket straight!!! Hopefully this will work... Did for me!!!
BigTartanJudge 0 Posted July 22, 2006 Or try forcing / hammering on a slightly smaller socket than bolt head size and use long straight breakers bar should shift it. Cheers and HTH
Tempest 0 Posted July 22, 2006 Try forcing a larger Hexaginal bit into it.. Yup, that's how I managed to get all 3 rounded off Allen bolts out of my crankshaft pulley assembly and rear brake caliper bracket :-) Tempest
