big_chris1981 0 Posted July 25, 2006 when my alarm was fitted it would seem that A pillars were the in thing! is there somewhere they can go thats a little more discrete?

big_chris1981 0 Posted July 25, 2006 hmmmm...... what about those who have full on show cars? lee.....jay.....?
Henny 0 Posted July 25, 2006 the ones on mine had been mounted into the sunroof motor cover/interior light bit... 2 big holes drilled in the bit just by the sunroof that points backwards and then the sensors flush mounted and glue gunned into place... Looked quite discreet, but the holes weren't lined up properly and it bugged me lots... They have now been replaced by a microwave kit which is hidden within the car and doesn't need visible sensors! 8)
big_chris1981 0 Posted July 25, 2006 the alarm i have can be fitted with a microwave sensor...would this replace the ultrasonics? is it as good/better?
Henny 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Yup, they replace the ultrasonics and are miles better... means you can have the windows open without it setting the alarm off until someone sticks something inside the car... Cuts down on false alarms LOADS too... ;)

biggrim 0 Posted July 26, 2006 Unless you park near a microwave ;)
Henny 0 Posted July 26, 2006  it'd need to be one weird arsed microwave to set off an alarm Grim... Let's put it this way, it wouldn't cook anything.... ;)
TIMMYVR 0 Posted July 29, 2006 With the microwave sensor you can hide it somewhere nice and discrete like under the hand brake cowling, which is nice :D
Henny 0 Posted August 3, 2006 shhh don't tell everyone... ;) *runs off to move microwave sensor....*
