immobiliser / alarm replacement suggestions?

after good holiday in lakes my scorpion immobilser played up , so car couldnt start, AA got it going but predicted it might do the same again , wondered what immobilser/alarm sytem you can recommend ? must be thatcham aproved & not too expensive , assuming i will have to ditch the scorpion ?

My advice is to hit the search link up on the top menu bar. I tried 'alarm AND reccomend' and got back lots and lots of relevant threads :)

try changing your main car battery first as that screwed with my alarm and immobilisor (and is a lot cheaper than a new alarm) You cant go far wrong with any of the toad or clifford alarms imho though
