darren 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Quick question: does the passenger side electric window mechanism have a safety feature that stops the window raising with one press of the button? Or is mine broken? The reason I ask is that since owning the car the full closure alarm has never fully closed, it starts then stops closing everything nearly straight away. Thanks for your help. Critical_Mass 10 Posted August 17, 2006 ive noticed also on my 91 G60, when just using the button to put the pass window up (not using alarm), i have to hold the button for it to close. Down is ok, but up i have to hold the button.

darren 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Is this easy to change? Is it a case of replacing the relay or switch for the passenger side or more complicated? Thanks
Rob_B 0 Posted August 18, 2006 what are you trying to replace? your window is doing what is supposed to be doing. the alarm isnt doing the job correctly
darren 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I thought that the alarm would use the one press window motor relay to close the windows but your saying this is not the case. I will get the alarm checked out. Thanks for your help.
Rob_B 0 Posted August 18, 2006 the one touch only works on the down on the passenger side. it goes up and down with 1 touch on the drivers side. not sure how its controlled as i havent looked into it. i would say that your alarm is not sending a long enough pulse to the passenger side
