1989 16v trouble

Recommended Posts

yeah that one , but you can determine if the gasses are there before the snot

There may not be any snot. A block test will tell you if the gasket has failed between a cylinder and the coolant. The car can pass the block test and still have a gasket that's allowing oil and coolant to mix.

yeah my old Golf 8V mk2 was losing water more and more, i looked for cream neva was any, so i took it to my man at the gararge he done the test and it showed that the water was going into the pistion chamber , so i got a new head gaset fitted sorted , untill she blew up the rings on piston 1, be warned if warter has been going into your pistions for a long time it will rust the rings  then your old motor that done 180k will blow up

shame it was going real well .
