Hi again internet.

Put some more bits on the car, new brake shields

Then fitted the brakes, Didn't bother doing anything about the rust on discs, rebuilt the calipers again with fresh paint

Started repairing the wings now, all the holes and bits have been welded up, i've just got to do some paint

Its looking like a corrado again!!, needs a really good clean and polish, i've had a lot of practice at that so kinda looking forward to it, not washed a car for over a year

Engine bay nearly done, just needs HT leads and some brake fluid, then a final clean up

20120926_110855.jpg

Went with silver for the engine cover, its actually some left over wurth alloy wheel paint, will probably change bits in the future but will do for now.

Passed its MOT today, quite chuffed with that, had no issues apart from an advisory on a slightly corroded brake pipe..

Cheers. Just I insured and taxed it this morning and been out for 35mile drive. All seems great. Reminds me why I love the car.

Hey bud, just wondering if you happen to know the torque figures for the bolts holding the front cross member and rad support to the chassis? I can't seem to find them in the Bentley manual.

Cheers.

i should do, i remember asking Kip for them in his thread

am sure the little ones were something like 25nm and the middle one 80nm, but i will try and find out

"Yeah the middle one is just a locator to hold it together so dont over tighten that as you'll break off the captive nut in the Radiator support that is screws to so about 20Nm for that one, the outer 2 bumper bolts are much more important and need to be 85Nm"

Fitted the R32 rear wishbone bushes and powerflex front ones.

20130110_174652.jpg

Debushed the wishbones

20130112_175508_zps3417558e.jpg

Difference in the bush (main thing i notice different is the hole in the metal part is smaller, actually a better fit)

20130112_175515_zpsb625fc5e.jpg

Front Bushes, melted these out with some fire

20130112_175524_zps8f196ee9.jpg

Rubbed the wishbones down

20130113_130357_zps8e2c1daa.jpg

Painted

20130113_184212_zps952f26be.jpg

Rebushed the wishbones

20130114_135359_zps0e131b07.jpg

Fitted them. Car looks filthy underneath already  (but i spose it is the bottom of car so to be expected)
