OllieVR6 0 Posted December 7, 2012 Hey bud, just wondering if you happen to know the torque figures for the bolts holding the front cross member and rad support to the chassis? I can't seem to find them in the Bentley manual. Cheers.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted December 7, 2012 i should do, i remember asking Kip for them in his thread  am sure the little ones were something like 25nm and the middle one 80nm, but i will try and find out
OllieVR6 0 Posted December 7, 2012 Thanks mate!
Jim Bowen 1 Posted December 7, 2012 "Yeah the middle one is just a locator to hold it together so dont over tighten that as you'll break off the captive nut in the Radiator support that is screws to so about 20Nm for that one, the outer 2 bumper bolts are much more important and need to be 85Nm" From Kips thread
OllieVR6 0 Posted December 7, 2012 Poifect, thanks. I'm almost ready to start putting it back together, whoop!
Jim Bowen 1 Posted January 14, 2013 Nice and dirty again, is back to being my daily now. ^^^Is only 3day of going to work, was spotless before that. Jim Bowen 1 Posted January 14, 2013 I do have a complete set of each, but waiting for 2 of the BBS ones to be refurbished Got some tyres on the other speedlines.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted January 14, 2013 Fitted the R32 rear wishbone bushes and powerflex front ones. Debushed the wishbones Difference in the bush (main thing i notice different is the hole in the metal part is smaller, actually a better fit) Front Bushes, melted these out with some fire Rubbed the wishbones down Painted Rebushed the wishbones Fitted them. Car looks filthy underneath already  (but i spose it is the bottom of car so to be expected)
