herisites 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Yeah i am quite lucky with that. No idea about the induction kit but im not really bothered now as i dont want a pipercross anymore i only got it because it was dirt cheap off the bay so i will get my money back and i am going to save for the BMC CDA kit as these are meant to be the best for the vr. Then im gunna get it custom remapped by Red Dot as they write the programs for superchip so they do pretty good remaps. Rob.

herisites 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Cheers, on the photoshops i done i didnt lowere it anymore and tried to get the 16's to look like they should when i put them on the car and it doent look like a 'buggy' as you mentioned so i might be alright. But you can never really tell from a photoshop so i will have to see how they look when i put them on which will hopefully be soon. Rob.

herisites 0 Posted September 21, 2006 ... take it you quite good with fitting stereos and the like then??? Is that supposed to mean the corrado is hard to fit stereos into then  well i had a pretty sh!t hot system in my fiesta and i know enough, it will just be running the cables etc that will be new to me! My gf might be interested in meetin up later on sunday even if we dont make it to mk meet etc. Its not for definite being her as she changes her mind every bloody minute  but i will drop you a text and let you know mate! Are your speakers amped or just runnin off the head unit? The head unit is so tightly squeezed in the gap that i wouldnt be surprised if there's some sort of connection between wires. I would make sure that any bare wire is taped up with some electrical tape etc so that nothing can touch, other than that just check all the connections on the h/u and amp and make sure everything is connected properly. Have you checked the connection on your battery is ok? Yeah i will drop you a text, if you are in mk i doubt the missus will wanna go (she went to a few car meets with me in the fiesta and i got bollocked for leavin her out and it was borin etc, girls!) but she should be alright to pop over yours for a bit, show you my vr, you can show me what you have done to yours and the wheels etc (i am still having the wheels mate, but this soddin website is takin longer to do so not got paid yet, if you get fed up of holdin them just let me know and i will try and get them sooner!!) Rob.
Bendy 0 Posted September 22, 2006 na thats cool about the wheels mate, there tucked up in the corner of my living room and in the kitchen!! as for the speakers, they run off 1 amp an the sub off its own, checked the connections on the amps an all seems fine, checked my battery the other day an its as tight as u like!!! was thinking at work (very dangerous that) that it could be a squashed wire as my wires run under the carpet and under the back seat, they dont seem to move at all under there so could of squashed/chopped 1 of them!!! ahhhh the hunt goes on!!! herisites 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Yeah it could be anything like that really mate, good luck with it  you will find out its something stupid that will take you ages to find out! Its always that way with fitting stereos, well anything electrical really  Cheers about the wheels mate, you are a true gentleman! Just for reference, how many of the wheels are curbed and need a refurb as you mentioned they needed refurb and new tyres. So want to get a rough idea of how much i will need to spend i total so i know how much i got left to spend on other things for the car :D lol Rob. Bendy 0 Posted September 22, 2006 ok, well there all curbed. the rear ones are the worst. 1 looks really bad but its just where the laquar (sp) has lifted. there are a few small marks where stones have chipped them an all. best to get them all done mate. had quotes from about £26 upto about £50 per wheel, but they had'nt seen the wheels mate. the fronts are not to bad, just a few marks but like i said be best to get them all done. herisites 0 Posted September 24, 2006 Ok thanks Ben, i will just get them all done. I should know someone that will be able to get them refurbed quite cheaply so i will have to find out how much. I have one worry though, i dont have coilovers just springs and shocks and therefore i am worried that the arches might hit the wheels if i go over a big bump and it bottoms out etc. I dont fancy shredding any tyres and having a blow out  So will i need bump stops for this? If so where do i get them and how much are they usually? Easy to fit? Cheers. Rob.
Bendy 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Ermmmm bump stops, not sure tbh mate. maybe powerflex do them as i have no idea!! im sure someone will have a better idea, and maybe roll ur arches to flaten the lip inside, or here's a idea, just pull them, flare them and smooth them!!!
