wet seats!

Recommended Posts

ive recently replaced the seal around the sunroof, and have notiecd the the felt like outer edge just soaks up water and deposits it on the seats in my car. should this be happening?!

is there anything i can use to treat the felt to stop it being so absorbant?

Hello mate - It should absorb water, one of the drain holes is blocked...

You need to get a gear cable of a bike or similar to unblock it...

hello mate

ive taken the internal sunroof panel out as i couldn't get mine to fit properly. is there something on the back of that then which directs the water droplets then? at the moment mine just soaks up the water, then drops it on onto the seats at the rear of the sunroof panel

well it leaks at the rear of the panel, so it cant collect on the main frame as there is only a headlining underneath it.

think i might try waxing it so it doesn't collect water at all!

what was that gearbox oil you said i should use by the way mate?

when my inner panel wasn't fitted right it leaked water, I think there's a gutter which directs water into the rubber drain pipes in it if I remeber correctly.
